Count Chocula worked as winery greeter when we first opened in 2012. In spring of 2019, he unexpectedly left us. We are convinced that he sent us a new friend.
We took our old wiener dog Shatzie to meet a different dog. She hated him. But the shelter had this scared, little Chichuahua mix boy that went into the shelter on the day Count passed. And Shatzie liked him. So we took him home to the winery.
It's eerie how our new boy Rye Bread has worked the winery from the minute he set foot in it. I'm convinced that Count sent him to carry on his job as greeter.
Until we meet again Count, you are forever in our hearts.
